Yes, this stuff got cooked too.

This is the oil filter (what's left of it) and the housing. Here you can see the thermostat and the burnt oil lines.

The plastic filter elements that are normally in the middle of the two circular plates actually melted and are now that half moon shape you see on the right side of the filter. This is the shape of the bottom of the filter cup.

The housing cup is still round and true, just needs a good cleaning.

Into the tank they go. This is carburetor cleaner. It does a fine job, but just takes a while.

Here are the parts cleaned. They will be disassembled, the brackets will be painted black, and all the oil fittings will be sink plated yellow.
